The controller responsible for data processing in connection with Kravion is:

Your reading data, by default. Kravion works without an account, and most reading data stays on your device.
Optional account features. Cloud backup, synchronization, premium subscriptions, and account recovery may require an account and secure processing. When you visit kravion.app, our hosting provider logs standard server data — IP address, timestamp, and requested URL — for security monitoring only. These logs are deleted after 7 days.
Local-first is the default. Your books, notes, reflections, actions, progress, and Kravion Score are stored on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage).
If you enable cloud backup, selected data is synchronized securely for backup and recovery. Otherwise, if you delete the app, your local data is deleted with it.
When you use Chapter Chat or the AI Companion, your conversations are forwarded to a proxy server operated by Scailara Labs, which sends them to OpenAI's API (GPT-4o-mini) to generate a response.
We do not log or store the content of your AI conversations on our servers. OpenAI processes your input according to their own privacy policy: openai.com/privacy.
We recommend not including sensitive personal information in your AI prompts.
If you contact us by email, we will store your email address and message to reply. This data is deleted once the communication is complete and there is no legal obligation to retain it.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, and delete any personal data we hold about you (Art. 15–17 GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact us at stefan@scailara.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. The current version is always available at kravion.app/privacy.html.
